Accommodation

We made it to Pokhara after our trek and stayed at the Israeli directed “Hotel Unicorn” under the recommendation from our friend Arik.  Our basic room with a queen size bed, western bathroom and a solar shower cost 550 ruppees ($6 CDN) per night.

Pokhara Lakeside is the tourist epicenter of the city consisting of many hotels, shops, restaurants, yoga studios, and more.  The main strip sits next to Phewa Tal, a semi natural fresh water lake fed by the nearby mountain streams.  Phewa Tal is considered semi-natural as it is regulated by a dam at the south end of the lake.
